State Rep. Terra Costa Howard to host Gun Safety Town Hall

State Rep. Deb Conroy, law enforcement officials to address Glen Ellyn meeting

LOMBARD – State Rep. Terra Costa Howard and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn will convene a Gun Safety Town Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, to discuss gun safety, gun violence, and commonsense gun legislation.

“I have voted for every bill that could help to reduce gun violence and save lives in Illinois – even when my support for reasonable gun laws has made me a target for extremist gun owners across the country,” Costa Howard said. “I believe that reasonable and responsible gun safety laws can save lives, and I will keep on standing up for every person’s right to go to a concert, shop at the grocery store, send our kids to school, or cheer at a parade without fear of gun violence. It’s time to make our voices heard.”

Costa Howard will be joined by St. Mark’s rector, the Rev. George D. Smith, State Rep. Deb Conroy, and representatives from the Illinois Attorney General’s office and the Illinois State Police.

The Gun Safety Town Hall, which is open to the public, will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Mark’s Church, at 393 N. Main St. The meeting also will be accessible via Zoom.  An advance R.S.V.P. is required. To register, please contact Rep. Costa Howard’s district office at 630-812-9494 or email [email protected].
